GROUP GRIEF CONSULTING
WHAT I OFFER
I design custom grief workshops for small groups, organizations, and classrooms. These workshops tend to include foundational grief education, grief practices (ranging from creative writing, visual arts, embodiment practices, nature-connection, storytelling, and/or ritual), and a facilitated space to collectively share with and witness other group members. These are designed to meet specific needs of the group, focus on a particular inquiry related to grief, and/or focus on a specific place or project that is eliciting collective grief. I work both in-person and remotely via virtual sessions.
MY APPROACH
I describe my approach as "ecological griefwork", meaning:
-
the foundational education, practices, and process itself are informed by ecological principles;
-
my work recognizes, makes visible, and centers the complex web of collective loss and change we are embedded within, including environmental, social, and political layers;
-
ultimately, this work seeks to guide us in recognizing our inherent belonging and connection as in integral part of the ecological system, finding a web of support and remembering a foundation of connection.
Though I tend to focus on environmental grief processing, personal losses + transformations are deeply connected and welcome. Working with grief tends to show us what is just below the surface.
